Preventing new rust, protect your car by simply spraying waxoil on to the metal. The solution will then instantly chase out moisture and form a flexible, weatherproof skin that doesn’t crack, dry out or wash off in the rain. Perfect for automotive applications, it provides the ideal after-treatment for our rust remover range.
Application is easy. To begin, make sure the surface is clean, and free from any flaking paint or rust. To apply, simply shake the can and spray evenly from 15-30cm distance onto the surface. One coat is enough. Jenolite's Waxoil will then offer lasting protection from rust and corrosion. Applications include the inside of doors, box sections, behind sills and chassis. Perfect for use on cars, motorcycles, caravans, boats and trailers.
- Remove the rust as much as possible by (mechanically) sanding or wire brushing.
- Shake can well before use. Keep spray distance at 20-30 cm, and spray the area to be treated.
- Spray 2 or 3 layers “wet on wet” thin enough to prevent sagging, allow the product to convert and dry (when the rust has been converted, it will turn dark blue).
- If necessary, sand the layer to improve adhesion of the next layer. Apply an anti corrosive primer.
- Rust Convertor Aerosol is an surface treatment/primer for rusted surfaces. Due to its Reactivity to rust and iron it converts rust into stable primer layer which can be over painted wit most modern paints.
